Peacock Feather Inspiration for Westchester Wedding

Westchester has so many great locations for portraits and makes is a great location for weddings, especially for anyone traveling from New York City as it is so close and accessible. For A & A’s wedding, began with an engagement session at Rye Town Park and Beach, located on the Long Island Sound in Rye, NY. It has gorgeous rolling hills and a pier, which is seen here at sunset.

Driving in style in Classic Fords, the bridal party arrived at the church Saint Mary of the Assumption in Katonah, NY. After they exchanged vows, the wedding party celebrated in their party limo to Davenport Park in New Rochelle for some portraits of the newlyweds. After which, they celebrated at an elegantly decorated reception at the Greentree Country Club, in New Rochelle, NY.

This beautiful wedding had it’s inspiration from Peacock feathers, highlighting the blue, purple and teal for a great mix of colors. Contrary to what many may think, most peacock feathers are harvested from their annual molting, which in order to have beautiful feathers, the birds must be well fed and taken care of.
